Tasks and responsibilities
Calls on targeted specialists in his territory, to support and accelerate product penetration, based on marketing /sales strategies as defined by product/sales management.
Organizes hospital staffs, workshops and regional meetings to increase noise level and support the product knowledge & acceptation and business expansion.
Analyses his territory potential and proposes action plans (priorities-targeting) that assures high return on investment (profitability focus); identifies growth opportunities, presents them to sales mgt, and implements sales strategies to support the development of his product/business (account planning).
Defines opportunities and develops customer specific approaches and services in accordance with marketing strategies (including promotion activities, AbbVie Care services, use of specific promotional material and documents, …)
Pro-actively and regularly analyses results and performances (ratio results/investments) via tools provided by customer excellence department (ex. Qliksense). Identifies business that is on risk and develops corrective actions where necessary.
Collects information on competitors’ sales tactics and competitive advantages towards customers; updates himself on the customers’ expectations.
Builds trustful relationships with KOL’s, and is able to sustain a strong and integer company image.
Collects all relevant market info about customers, competitors, and market changes and communicates them through Health Pulse
Identifies customer needs and convert them into new sales opportunities / added value services which favours return on investment
Ensures compliance to all applicable rules & procedures related to OEC, Finance, BTS, Purchasing, Material Review, Pharmacovigilance,… Make sure to understand all rules applicable to your function, ensure timely completion on all assigned training, plan activities sufficiently in advance to allow sufficient time for all required steps, pro-actively reach out and discuss in case of (potential) issues
University or Bachelor degree, Scientific orientation or background
Min. 5 years of proven performance through strong results records and drive for outstanding performance
Required skills and competencies
Strong territory management skills:have an in depth view of current customers, potential customers, and competitor’s activity.
Outstanding selling skills:be able to perform the 5-steps of Challenger on a regular basis (clear call objective, pre-call planning, opening & reframe, rational drowning & emotional impact, value proposition, closing & prepare follow-up)
Fluent in English, French/Dutch
Strong knowledge of the rheumatology marketand a large existing network of rheumatologists/gastroenterologists is an asset
Experience in launching new products: Good understanding and past experience of all pre & post launch sequence of activities. Able to change established standard of care.
