Key Responsibilities Include:

The Duodopa Account Executive serves as the liaison between the Specialty Products Division – Neurosciences Business Unit and key Movement Disorder Centers, Movement Disorder Specialists and Neurologists:

Performs all aspects of total account management, including developing and maintaining multi-level relationships with targeted Movement Disorder Centers with the intent to increase education on product benefits/risks consistent with approved label, develop new business, maximize resource utilization, and increase sales and market share aimed at achieving sales plan for Duodopa.

Delivers effective presentations which appropriately highlight the benefits and risks of the product resulting in sales quota achievement.

Serves as lead SPD contact with targeted MDCs/MDSs in assigned geography and collaborates with AbbVie colleagues including Marketing, Market Access, Patient Relations, and Medical to provide excellent customer support for physicians and their patients. Effectively execute on approved programs.

Creates, implements and communicates strategic and tactical plans with Commercial team for targeted MDCs. Facilitates the establishment of new Center of Excellences for Duodopa as reimbursement expands throughout Canada in collaboration with commercial leadership and Medical, the DAEs will facilitate site physician/treatment team training on approved use of the company’s products and Risk Minimization Plan as applicable. DAEs will monitor progress, provide ongoing customer/site support and address potential customer issues. Additionally, DAEs will provide routine communications to all internal/external stakeholders.

Maintains adherence to all company policies and OEC/Legal procedures.

AbbVie Neuroscience Business Unit and our Center of Excellences that will provide care for PD patients to receive Duodopa™ whereby:

Within assigned accounts and geography, seeks out information and articulates implications to our business and to our customers’ business.

Transfers knowledge and integrates best practices that have tangible value for customers and Duodopa patients to benefit the geography.

Establishes and maintains a complete understanding of approved product label and disease state knowledge for impactful use with customers.

Establishes and demonstrates thorough understanding of business negotiations and necessary contracting process, reimbursement, and other drivers impacting the customer environment. Ability to effectively develop contracts to establish Center of Excellence hospitals/clinics, as well as initiate/facilitate P&T committee product reviews (or like processes within hospitals) including having Duodopa listed on hospital formularies where procedures will be done.

Leverages opportunities to understand customer needs and partner with customers. Builds strong relationships that provide market intelligence and support development of innovative programs and initiatives.

Builds and maintains relationships across accounts that result in opportunities to benefit patients, physicians, and other HCPs within the geography.

Consistently partners/collaborates with other colleagues within marketing, medical, customer service, etc. to identify, design and/or adapt approaches and tactics leveraging resources within geography.

Uses multiple data resources and tools to identify sales opportunities and program strategy for customers in assigned geography.

Develops a strong command of available resources and tools; fully leverages those resources to support selling strategies and maximize impact. Takes an innovative approach when planning and applying resources and tools.

Works with CRM database (i.e. Veeva) to enter daily activities with customers.

Basic:

Bachelor degree in Nursing or Medical degree is a must.

Minimum 3 years of experience in nursing, sales management, account management, clinical research and/or marketing experience in a healthcare business; account management, market access knowledge and experience in the Neuroscience is important.

Proven track record of managing multiple stakeholders within a geography/territory.

Strong business acumen; analytical ability to analyze diverse sets of data using multiple tools and define account/program strategies that drive business objectives.

Must demonstrate an understanding of how to effectively meet customer needs in a complex environment through forward-thinking, innovative strategies that align with the company and customer objectives.

Effectively demonstrate leadership skills; ability to lead and build teamwork.

Excellent communication and presentation skills. Must be fluent in French. English. must be at advanced level, oral and written.

Proficiency with MS office is required.

Travel will represent 40-50% of the time

Availability to travel within Canada and at an international level.
