Due to expansion we have an exciting position on a 9 month contract for a Payments Verification & Reporting Manager based in Mascot.
Reporting to the ANZ Financial Controller, this role’s main responsibility is to ensure the highest level of Compliance standards are adhered to within Australia and New Zealand. In addition, the candidate will need to ensure the business is compliant in policies and procedures as well as financial internal controls. This position will also support Finance projects as well as provide local expertise and execution of AbbVie’s transparency reporting obligations and monitoring activities in Australia and New Zealand.
Review and approve in a timely manner all transactions in relation to HCP/HCO to ensure relevant documentary requirements have been satisfied.
Act as the PTP gate keeper to ensure the accuracy of the General Ledger, Cost Centre and SRM category code selection.
Provide support to the LKU’s / Requestors / Admins in respect of the documentary requirements required for their respective purchase orders.
Working with Financial Controller to perform regular policy reviews to identify any potential gaps in local policy and/or understanding.
Continue to enhance a best-in-class compliance program in partnership with all the business units to support the AbbVie business in Australia/NZ.
Remain up to date with internal finance and compliance policies, Medicines Australia Code of Conduct, and Medicines New Zealand Code of Practice requirements.
Resolve in a timely manner any queries raised by the respective Business Units / LKU’s / Requestors / Admins in respect to the purchase order as well as travel and expense management process.
Provide timely and accurate reports to management communicating non-compliance and potential risks.
Make recommendations on how to improve internal controls and governance processes.
Supporting the business units on best practice and engaging them as partners.
Assist in the support of internal compliance reviews.
Manage the Medicines Australia transparency reporting obligations and ensure all reports are submitted on time.
Ensure all reportable events have been captured in the systems available to ensure all reports are complete and accurate.
Manage the introduction of new reporting obligations in line with the Medicines Australia Code of Conduct and Medicines New Zealand Code of Practice requirements as applicable.
Conduct monitoring activities to ensure that all transfers of value to health care professionals are compliant with the Medicines Australia Code of Conduct and AbbVie’s internal compliance policies.
Participate in or execute Finance projects and other monitoring activities as required.
Completion of ABS Surveys and NZ Statistical surveys.
Bachelor degree required in Finance, Accounting, Audit, Commerce, Business, or Legal
Experience with, or exposure to, business functions such as compliance, audit, finance, legal, regulatory affairs, government affairs.
Healthcare, Pharmaceutical or medical device experience preferred
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a matrixed environment
Ability to proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and execute on bringing ideas to fruition
Systems experience across SAP and Concur preferred
Must have advanced Excel skills
The successful candidate should have a strong work ethic, capable of multi-tasking, excellent communication/interpersonal skills and collaborative with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail
Analytical and problem solving capabilities, able to deal with multiple external and internal partners
The candidate needs to be commercially minded, and have prior experience of working with commercial organizations
