To provide scientific and technical expert advice to key customers of the allocated Division.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist in developing strong relationships with key external experts in assigned therapeutic areas.

  • Deliver scientific presentations and medical education programmes to external experts in assigned therapeutic areas

  • Define and implement medical strategies and Medical Affairs plans as required by the Brand Team and Medical Department

  • Monitor the environment for competitive intelligence and provide scientific input for the development of marketing strategy and promotional and training material.

  • Provide technical and scientific support to the sales force and all other stakeholders to ensure awareness of current practice and future developments.

  • Develop and maintain relationships and regular communication with regional and global colleagues.

  • Act as liaison for investigator initiated study proposals, including evaluation of scientific interest and feasibility.

  • Actively participate in internal projects and initiatives with a focus to drive innovation and best practices

  • Assist with follow up of medical matters as required by the Associate Medical Director and Medical Department.

  • Provide scientific support for health economic initiatives.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies & procedures to meet statutory, quality and business requirements, within the overall company objectives & strategy.


Minimum Skills Required:

  • Breadth of pharmaceutical industry experience, ideally as a Medical Manager/ Medical Advisor

Knowledge / Education Required:

  • Medical degree or Master degree or higher, preferably a PhD in a relevant science discipline.

Experience Required:

  • Experience in pharmaceutical industry and general knowledge of drug development an advantage.

  • Attend regular departmental meetings with manager/supervisor to build in continuous feedback mechanisms.

  • Meet the requirements of ISO and Class A by complying with all relevant Quality policies and procedures to ensure the Quality objectives of the business are met.

  • Comply with all relevant company Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and work practices with the intent of preventing or minimizing accidental exposures to self, colleagues and/or the environment.
