Value to Pharmacyclics:
Work on automation to help reduce manual prep
Conduct plasma and tissue sample preparation and analysis of discovery compounds, and aid in day to day activities in the laboratory.
Harness fresh new ideas and enthusiasm who can look at our processes and help improve them.
Hands on experience in basic laboratory procedures, with the ability to learn and operate a mass spectrometer and software associated
Good documentation skills – help write procedures and enter data into laboratory notebook
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Current college student (entering sophomore year or higher) or recent college graduate
Be an active student in good standing at a US accredited university.
Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or equivalent.
Prefer candidate that has biology/biochemistry/chemistry knowledge and is a science major.
Each Intern is expected to prepare a short presentation to their team to share what they have learned through their internship, and how the knowledge acquired will help them in their future career. Presentations should be 10-15 minutes long and should include visual aid (posters or PowerPoint).
