Commercial Training and Development Manager II

General Position Summary/Purpose:

This Commercial Training and Development Manager II, will be responsible for leading the development of training related to disease, product, sales effectiveness, market knowledge, and operations training intended for members of the commercial organization.

Key Accountabilities/Core Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintainingsubject matter expertise for disease states, products and therapeutic areas

  • Developingmaintaining and executing training programs and initiatives, with minimalguidance

  • Designing andenhancing current curriculum to meet needs of the Commercial organization

  • Coordinating withMarketing, Legal, Compliance, Medical and Regulatory to ensure accuracy ofmedical content and compliance with promotional policies for training materials

  • Managing vendorswhen developing training content and executing contract requirements

  • Performingproject management function during the development of training content

  • Leading trainingmeetings to include planning, logistics management, vendor monitoring, andparticipant conduct

  • Partnering withMarketing, Sales and Market Access to develop training that meets brandobjectives and coordinate the rollout of training materials for fieldcolleagues

  • Collaboratingwith cross functional teams (Marketing, Sales, Market Access, etc) to providehighly effective, timely, innovative and relevant training solutions

  • Collaboratingwith external partners to help provide best-in-class training deliverables

  • Collaboratingwith our partner company colleagues to ensure there is alignment of trainingstrategy and tactics

  • Acting as aresource for field sales through active participation in all sales meetings androutine field rides.

  • Designing andleading the execution of training work sessions at National Sales Meetings, POAMeetings and Launch Meetings

  • Developing andmaintaining facilitation skills expertise in support of training contentdelivery

  • Continuallyassess the organization’s training needs for both clinical fluency anddevelopment competencies and provide appropriate feedback for innovation

  • Requires minimumof a Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s Degree preferred

  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotechindustry experience

  • RequiresCommercial Training or Sales experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry

  • Knowledge ofHematology/Oncology disease areas preferred

  • Experiencedeveloping training tools to enable the enhancement of clinical acumen is aplus

  • Knowledge ofadult learning principles, training design concepts, and platforms is a plus

  • Exceptionalability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at differentlevels of the organization

  • High level ofprofessionalism and the ability to excel in a complex cross-functional teamenvironment

  • Ability to workin an unstructured environment

  • Obtains strategicinsight to appropriately dedicate time to important initiatives

  • Exceptional oralpresentation

  • Excellentlearning, problem solving and interpersonal skills

  • Strongorganizational and multi-tasking skills

  • Ability toself-motivate and perform effectively with minimal supervision

  • Expertise withtechnology platforms (iPAD) and programs (e.g. MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MSExcel) is highly desirable
