We have an opportunity for a Senior Brand Manager, Hematology to join our Oncology team. In this role, you will develop and implement the developing and implementing the marketing plan for the CLL (Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia) franchise, a strategic area of growth for AbbVie’s future.

This position is based in Montreal (Saint-Laurent) and reports to the Director Oncology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and measure tactics aligned to strategies identified in the marketing plan.

  • Optimize utilization of resources to lead, develop and coach a brand manager, including overseeing the performance management process, professional development and succession team plans.

  • Managing and appropriately spending allocated advertising and promotion (A&P) budgets

  • Take a lead role in monthly and annual financial processes, working in close collaboration with forecasting team to deliver accurate and timely output.

  • Communicating strategic goals, positioning, messaging and tactical plans to internal customers, field sales force and external agencies.

  • Analyzing market issues and opportunities and communicate findings to brand team and to senior management.

  • Plan and coordinate national sales meeting and cycle meetings.

  • Provide leadership and line management support to the CLL Brand Manager

  • Collaborate with Global, Area & affiliate colleagues to optimize total affiliate hematology portfolio performance both now and in the future.

Education/Experience Eequired:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Science or related field, or equivalent is required. Master’s degree is an asset.

  • Relevant business experience with proven track record of success within biotech/pharmaceutical.

  • Proven marketing experience, and relevant therapeutic knowledge (oncology or hematology)

  • Specialty pharmaceutical sales (Min. of 2 years).

  • Head Office experience, an asset (Min. of 2 years).

  • Experience in product launches and working with global teams an asset (Min. of x years)

  • Marketing and other commercial experiences with an understanding of financial processes, market access, project management skills and knowledge of the Regulatory environment within biotech/pharmaceutical industry preferred.

  • Ability to think and plan strategically (work plans, activities, timetables, targeting) and operating with execution excellence.

Essential Skills & Abilities:

  • Advanced French and English language proficiency (oral and written).

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.).

  • Must be at ease with technology (the use of various tools/systems to perform day-to-day tasks).

  • Travel required about 30 to 40 % of the time.

  • Valid driver’s licence and passport.
