Drive the affiliate vision of the IN-Field Team Excellence capability as part of our evolving transformation to adapt the affiliate’s capabilities to the changing environment. Provide strategic leadership to fully enable and optimize IFTs effectiveness cross-functionally by providing IFTs with the right tools, processes and behavioral expectations that meet the needs of the changing market landscape and by maximizing the effectiveness and efficiency of all IFT members within AbbVie Canada.
In perfect alignment with the Brand Teams (BTs) strategic priorities, and in tight collaboration with In-Field team Leaders (IFTLs) and other Customer Excellence functions, the In-Field Team Manager is responsible to:
Create and implement the ‘Future Fit Vision for IFTs’ in consultation with Team Canada and key commercial leaders;
Provide the strategic guidance and planning to bring together the different ways of working across the organization (CLM, CRM, dashboards, KPI’s) in a coordinated way;
Work closely with the CEx Director in creating a change leadership plan to implement the above in a coordinated way within the organization.
Enhance the coordination of the CEx departments impacting the IFTs by working with the leaders of each function to ensure alignment and consistency in the ways of working
Ensure continued execution and sustainability of the IFT planning calendar
Ensure that all in-field initiatives are aligned with the strategic priorities identified by brand teams
Build effective working relationships with all parts of the business (e,g, in-field teams, managers, directors, etc.), influence and lead multi-functional project/steering groups with an outcomes focused approach.
Lead salesforce excellence projects from their diagnostic phase, to design of new or improved processes / tools and their deployment in the field, thus improving the business performance of AbbVie in-field teams.
Evaluate track and report development areas within in-field team competencies and capabilities. Work closely with all the Customer Excellence Leads (training, innovation, CRM, BI, brand planning) to identify appropriate solutions. Monitor the progress and impact of solutions identified and implemented to maximize progress.
Work with Human Resources and Learning departments to support ongoing development of the IFT competency framework
Lead strategic affiliate programs which have a direct impact on the IFTs in collaboration with the Global team
Ensure alignment of the IFT methodology with the brand planning process to ensure that in-field activities are aligned with the brand strategies
Ensure best practice sharing across IFT`s
Track results of all identified strategic IFT initiatives through MAPVIE and adjust accordingly as needed.
Strong people skills
Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills
Ability to move from Strategic to operational to tactical across the different stakeholder groups
Proven track record of project management, gained through implementing major projects and initiatives which have impacted across a wide range of previous functions
Ability to build strong cross functional, collaborative working relationships and the ability to influence upwards and where no direct line responsibility exists
Ability to take key actions and demonstrate core AbbVie ways of working behaviors
Ability to perform well under ambiguous conditions
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Business Administration, Commerce or equivalent.
Relevant specialty sales experience, coupled with 3 - 5 years as District Sales Manager.
2 years in marketing as Brand Manager
English and French must be at advanced level, oral and written.
Proficient in using MS Office Suite and all related new technologies in relationship to the role and the work environment.
Advanced knowledge of Word and Excel as well as Outlook and Internet.
