We have an opportunity for an Analyst, Business Intelligence to join our Customer Excellence team. The Analyst has not only a keen awareness of the challenges faced by our industry, but also a clear and deep understanding of the Canadian Affiliate and assigned brands’ strategic objectives. In this role, you will translate this knowledge and understanding into meaningful market research projects that generate actions and recommendations. You will also gain an in-depth comprehension of key date sources, its use and its implication, including but not limited to, IQVIA data and social media. The Analyst will also interpret market trends in a way that helps AbbVie Canada make more strategic business decisions. This position is based in Montreal (Saint-Laurent) and reports to the Manager, Business Intelligence.
Develop a deep understanding of products, competitivelandscape and strategic challenges in assigned therapy areas and for theaffiliate.
Partner with our internal customers:
Develop annual market research brand plansbased on a sound and complete understanding of strategic needs andchallenges of assigned brands and affiliate.
Assess and anticipate brands’ and affiliate’sstrategic information needs throughout the year.
Provide regular informational support to brandteams and the Canadian Affiliate, and, actively participate and contributein brand team meetings.
Recommend and implement methods by which brandKPI’s, benchmarking and ROI measurements are tracked.
Provide input to brand plans by providingupdates on key customer issues and by recommending actionable initiativesbased on strategies, opportunities and challenges.
Ensure the collection of key insights.
Ensure internalization and activation ofinsights in the brand teams and affiliate.
Plan, design and execute Market Research projects:
Challenge and counsel brand teams, theaffiliate, area and global teams in the most appropriate ways to obtaincustomer and competitive insights to exploit opportunities and helpovercome challenges.
Develop, oversee & implement appropriatemarket research projects efficiently, in a timely manner and costeffectively.
Understand Data Sources:
Develop/have a good understanding of thedifferent information sources available to the business intelligence team andtheir connectivity.
Mine existing data sources to ensure maximumuse.
Investigate new data sources, including socialmedia, to evaluate relevance and applicability.
Support and Promote the Business IntelligenceCentre of Excellence by:
Provide expertise in primary research designand implementation locally and internationally.
Investigate innovative and best practice approachesto gathering insights, including the social media sites as another tool togather insights.
Support short and long-term department goals byproviding feedback on areas for improvement based on customer feedback andyour own observations.
Share knowledge and expertise with colleaguesboth locally and internationally.
Regularly evaluate and negotiate with existingand new market research suppliers to ensure maximum benefit whileminimizing cost to the organization.
Ensure that all relevant supplier/departmentpaperwork and contracts are duly completed and catalogued.
Log and maintain business intelligence projectdatabase.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Science related field or equivalent is required.
Relevant business experience with proven track record of success.
Market research and project management experience (Minimum of two years).
Knowledge of biotechnology / pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
Previous experience with the development and implementation of patient and/or health care professional journey and other innovative market research tools is a strength.
Ability to think and plan strategically (work plans, activities, timetables, targeting) and operating with execution excellence.
Robust knowledge and understanding of data sources and application of data to answer questions. Essential Skills & Abilities:
Advanced French and English language proficiency (oral and written).
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.).
Must be at ease with technology (the use of various tools/systems to perform day-to-day tasks).
Clear understanding of IQVIA data and software is an asset.
