Purpose:

  • Work collaboratively in cross-functional teams to review, and approve promotional and non-promotional materials for Korea markets. Ensure medical and scientific accuracy and adherence to applicable regulations/codes, and relevant AbbVie SOP of the promotional and non-promotional materials

  • Provide accurate, balanced, unbiased, non-misleading and non-Promotional Medical Information regarding AbbVie Product, AbbVie Product in Development, or a disease state or therapeutic area to requests received from internal and external customers in a timely manner, while following all relevant regulations. Offer information to identify and support business development opportunities and product launches

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure local processes and procedures are in place to clearly define Medical Information Specialist responsibilities within the affiliate in line with AbbVie SOPs and local regulations

  • Ensure training of stakeholders such as receptionist, commercial and medical employee on relevant MIS responsibilities is undertaken in a timely manner and that appropriate training records are maintained

  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge for AbbVie products/relevant therapeutic by attending key internal training sessions/meeting and through self-study

  • Promotional material review

  • Contribute and/or provides medical review of promotional, non-promotional materials with scientific view-points in accordance withapplicable regulations/codesandrelevant AbbVie SOP, within defined timelines under guidance and documented approval

  • Ensure that the scientific content of material is fair, balanced, and based on appropriate scientific evidence, as well as complies withregulations/codesand internal compliance rules under guidance and documented approval

  • Coordinate, review and approve of materials and document the materials properly and manage the Database

  • Medical Information Service

  • Provide accurate, fair-balanced responses to requests for medical information

  • Provide medical and scientific expertise relevant to the therapeutic area(s), including AbbVie products and related diseases to commercial partners as needed within regulatory guidelines

  • Prepares documentation and provides written and/or verbal answers to unsolicited science/medical queries from internal(Medical, Commercial, PA, etc.) and external customer (healthcare professionals, patients and caregivers, etc.)

  • Monitor/collect data from the Medical Information Database and set standards as and when required

  • Ensure that all systems or tracking logs are kept up to date in terms of medical inquiries and responses

  • Reconcile the list of medical inquiry with PV team on a regular basis

Qualifications:

  • Education : Bachelors’ degree in Pharmacy, Life sciences or similar discipline with pertinent experience in pharmaceutical industry preferred

  • Prior experience : Minimum 1 to 5 years of experience in Medical and scientific documentation and materials review experience related to drugs, drug interaction and pharmacovigilance reporting

  • Skills and competencies: Excellent communication skills for managing requests for information and material review. Good team player, must be able to work in a close team setting. Above average time management skills. Ability to correctly identify and manage priorities.
