The purpose of this role is to provide Total Rewards leadership and consulting expertise to the business across an international area as well as assigned global business functions in the design, development and administration of compensation, benefits and recognition programs in order to support the attraction and retention of talent. Ensure market competitiveness, innovation and operational excellence in program administration. Assure that the Total Rewards programs are in compliance with local laws.
Direct all Total Rewards programs for all Area employees, in order to assure support of the business and market competitiveness across the Area.
Lead diverse team to achieve AbbVie Total Rewards strategic objectives. Develop and manage team through encouraging innovation, collaboration while empowering team to make decisions that are in alignment of the business and exercise authority and responsibility within the governance framework
Understand broad market trends, the implications and opportunities, in the global environment (customer, technical, health care, regulatory, etc.). Gather information from multiple sources, including customers, peers, staff, and external experts. Assess information with a global perspective, identifying opportunities and threats and develop and recommend action plans and long-term strategies to respond. Balance opportunities, resources, and investments to maximize AbbVie’s growth.
Maintain a strong customer focus. Link the business vision with customer needs and market place conditions. Develop strategies that convert customer requirements into products and services.
Identify and capitalize upon opportunities to create value through leveraging global Total Rewards programs and resources.
Effectively communicate the business vision and strategies and link to Total Rewards across the organization.
Look to the future, using global marketplaces, technology, and business knowledge to identify emerging opportunities and seize them.
Collaboratively set realistic, challenging, measurable goals and timetables. Keep self and others focused on key performance indicators. Be willing to adjust goals to meet changing business needs.
Set short terms objective that drive toward long-term goals or strategies. Monitor and adjust activities to meet objectives. Stay with a position or plan of action until the desired objective is achieved.
Effectively translate the business vision and broad strategies into concrete/ actionable strategic plans and goals, prioritizing goals, projects, and plans appropriately
Work on transitional and transformational global projects, such as mergers and acquisitions.
At least 10 years of progressive Total Rewards leadership experience across multiple markets and diverse business functions.
Bachelor Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration
Master Degree desirable.
Fluent in English.People Management
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Knowledge of local labor laws
