Implement a marketing and sales strategy for one or more of the organization’s products/services to meet established sales or market share targets.


Primary deliverables of role; its scope; budgetary control (operating/capital), impact on strategy, policy, business or people relationships


  • Propose, develop and deliver localized strategy in-line with global product strategy, communicating latest internal/external factors that impact the business on a local basis.

  • Propose and develop marketing/launch plans with build-in local controls, in-line with global product strategy for local promotions, product branding and etc.

  • Continuously monitor and analyze competitive set, assess risks and opportunities, proposing changes in product strategy.

  • Drive marketing programs and deliver on product objectives.

  • Provide training and timely product updates to the sales team

  • Develop promotional aids to support brand building process

  • Regularly monitor to ensure accurate product messaging reaches the target customers

  • Propose and manages annual product promotional expenditure to agreed targets

  • Prepare and complete Division’s annual business planning process cycles ( Plan, Update, Brand Strategy Plan and No Numbers Long Range Plans)

  • Perform forecasting on monthly ADS, with appropriate resource allocation and ensure compliance within the range of KPIs required on Supply Chain Management

  • Coordinate with distributor (ZP/DKSH) to enhance their efficiency levels.

Field visits:

  • Maintain close familiarity with market conditions

  • Evaluate opportunities for our existing and new products

  • Build and maintain good relationship with customers and coach Sales Executives

Finance Management

  • Ensure overall spend within agreed promotional budget and concern about maximum ROI

Administrative and Other Responsibilities

  • Provides reports for senior managements as required.

  • Monitor Sales executives’ monthly sales performance and provide recommendations to improve their productivity and activities.

  • Conduct regular effective sales meetings

  • Ensures sales force reports and records of all sales teams and kept up to date and accurate

  • Check monthly expense reports to ensure they are correct and accurate and were incurred for appropriate business purposes.

  • Other responsibilities as required by Management

Specialized Knowledge/Skills:

Basic Requirements:

  • Results-oriented with a strong track record in specialty products setting.

  • Comprehensive industry knowledge.

  • Good knowledge of computer based programs including spreadsheets and graphics.

  • Possess own transport with valid license

  • Willing to travel Malaysia and Brunei and work independently.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a Business or Science Discipline or equivalent

  • Min 2 years pharmaceutical/marketing experience

  • Sound understanding or qualifications in marketing related principles.
