Senior Technology Architect, Decisioning and Orchestration Platforms

The Senior Technology Architect for Decisioning and Orchestration Platforms is the Professional (HCP) Marketing technology solution owner across an integrated suite of technical components/tools to orchestrate the HCP omni-channel marketing ecosystem. This including utilizing business rules and algorithms to drive the identification of next best marketing and sales actions in support of HCP marketing engagement plans. The Senior Technology Architect for Decisioning and Orchestration Platforms will focus on three key areas of responsibilities:
Platform Owner - The role will be responsible for ownership of the technology strategy, features roadmap, and architectural design to support an integrated technology platform for HCP marketing decisioning and orchestration. He/she will stay current with technology trends and perform technical research when necessary to recommend the use of new technology capabilities; balancing innovation, business benefits and IT standards.
Technical Manager - The role will manage technical development teams and collaborate with various shared-services teams to build and enhance the technical platform to deliver on business outcomes. Including overseeing development activities to enable high-quality and on-time delivery of technology deliverables.
Business Liaison - The role will liaison with the IT Business Relationship Managers and other stakeholders to understand marketing strategies, prioritize business needs and manage expectations around technology delivery activities. Including communicating and educating other teams around the technology capabilities of the solution.
Leadership : Technical leadership representing Omni-channel decisioning and orchestration capabilities and solutions. Engaging stakeholders to understand their marketing decisioning and orchestration needs, as well as the lead the implementation of technology solutions to meet those needs. Advances technology expertise by proactively sharing knowledge with others.
Portfolio Management : Responsible for multiple initiatives focused on building and expanding decisioning technology capabilities. Managing a team of resources; including staff, contractors and vendor/supplier project teams.
Architecture : Oversees solution architecture and collaborates with enterprise architects to research and recommend new technology.
Technical Roadmap : Drive future-state roadmap planning for expanding decisioning and orchestration capabilities, as well as leading the evaluation and selection of solutions. Working with both business and technical teams to periodically assess capabilities and adjust roadmap based on functional and enterprise priorities.
Communication : Communicate across multiple stakeholder groups; including business, technology and corporate teams. Engaging, informing and influencing business stakeholders; including drafting executive level communications and presentations.
Support Model : Establish a support model for technology solution operations and ongoing enhancements. Overseeing transition from project development efforts to the ongoing production support teams.
Change Management : Support business change and end-user adoption initiatives. Participating on key business initiatives, focused on the adoption and use of marketing decisioning and orchestration capabilities.
Innovation : Stimulates creativity and innovation in others. Open to new ideas. Supports those who initiate change and take risks. Champion of change and innovation.
Industry Acumen : Understanding of Pharmaceutical Marketing & Sales operations, Omni-channel marketing concepts, and marketing technology solutions. Focus on marketing decisioning and orchestration capabilities and use cases.
Strategic : Understands corporation’s vision, goals and strategies. Develops appropriate IT strategies aligned with the business.
Compliance : Responsible for compliance and applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and Procedures. Ensure all development deliverables and processes adhere to company policies and procedures.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education in Science or Technology related field with extensive (typically 16 years) of related work; Master’s Degree or equivalent education in Science/Technology or PharmD or equivalent education with extensive (typically 14 years) of related work; PhD in Science/Technology or related field with typically 8‐10 years of related work experience.
Technical background in omni-channel marketing with demonstratable hands-on experience.
Technical experience implementing and supporting the Pega Infinity platform, the Dataiku data science platform, the Adobe Marketo Engage platform for Marketing Automation, the Adobe Experience Manager platform for Content Management, the Adobe Target platform for Personalization, and the micro-services integration architectures.
Experience designing solution architectures across cloud platforms, enterprise systems and toolsets in support of marketing and sales processes.
Experience in leading and organizing project teams and working across organizational boundaries to deliver positive results.
Exceptional communication skills, ability to state things simply, ask effective questions and communicate persuasively across different audiences ranging from leadership to end user levels.
Communicates well with diverse groups within function and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external collaborators.
Proven ability to innovate with a history of new or improved technology solutions with remarkable impact on company productivity.
Significant Work Activities and Conditions: Continuous sitting for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8 hour day)
