The Senior Financial Analyst will help provide financial support Housekeeping and Building and Grounds business units within Abbvie Operations representing a combined budget of approximately $155MM. The successful candidate will have personal drive, be team focused, and possess mental agility to excel in a challenging environment. This role is ideal for a candidate looking to expand their skills and experience into either FP&A or Reporting. The ability to work in a global matrix organization is important.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide advisory support for Manager level budgets

  • Assisting withday-to-day issues

  • Meet with client to support LBE requirements

  • Manage the month-end close cycle for Buildings and Grounds as well as Housekeeping (post journal entries, account reconciliations, lease accounting and undertake key driver variance analysis/consolidations

  • Work cross functionally to ensure journal entries and reconciliations are GAAP and company policy compliant, properly supported with clear documentation, and easy to understand.

  • Supports allocation charges by calculating, issuing, monitoring assessment process. Working with businesses to gain approval/understanding of charges.

  • Support a variety of Central Services initiatives, ex:cross functional training, building new metrics/reports, and other project based workload

  • Contribute to forecasting cycles (LRP, Plan, LBE, and Update)

  • Provide various ad-hoc analysis as requested


  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance.

  • 4 + years of accounting or finance experience with emphasis in FP&A.

  • Experience in supporting and presenting to senior business and finance management.

  • Firm understanding of AbbVie’s financial policies (CFMs), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and internal controls.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.

  • Proficient in business applications, TM1, SAP, HFM, Excel and Powerpoint

  • Demonstrated analytical capabilities and the ability to effectively contribute to the decision making process

  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities and quickly adapt to changes.

  • Ability to effectively present information to senior level leadership and to work as part of a cohesive team

  • Continuous sitting for prolonged periods.


  • Previous FP&A roles in pharmaceutical/healthcare manufacturing strongly preferred.

  • CPA and/or MBA preferred.Key Leadership Competencies:
