The Senior Financial Analyst supports AbbVie’s North Chicago manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills with finance and non-finance personnel, and a passion for working collaboratively to drive and encourage continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead Plant P/L performance through collaboration with business unit section manager(s), providing direct financial support and analytics for newly developed product (Orilissa)

  • Facilitate the development and execution of AbbVie Planning cycles (Standard Cost Development, Long Range Planning, Forecast) and driving business results

  • Develop monthly LBE’s (Forecast), ensuring finance/operations alignment on strategic business initiatives and changes

  • Proactively manage business unit P/L performance; identifying potential risks and mitigation strategies to achieve targets

  • Support the operations team in the development of the plant Long Range Planning strategy

  • Perform monthly variance analysis to plan and forecast; presenting financial performance of production business unit to plant’s operations and finance management

  • Develop cost standards and annual financial plan for production business unit(s); develop year-to-year cost change analysis for product(s) supported

  • Identify and implement key projects/processes growing operational and financial efficiencies, improving plant and business unit performance

Basic:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

  • At least 4 years of finance/accounting experience

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and social skills

  • Strong multi-tasking abilities

Preferred:

  • Experience in a manufacturing setting (plant cost accounting and/or operations)

  • Experience with SAP in a plant environment
