The Senior Business System Consultant, a BTS position, will be responsible for defining, designing, and delivering planning/manufacturing solutions that enable AbbVie’s manufacturing organization. This position is accountable to ensure the high quality solution designs meet current and anticipated business needs. Responsibilities include partnering with business stakeholders, issue management, and all activities associated with being the system owner for the planning platform, INFOR AS.
Key Responsibilities Includes:
Adaptable leader that drives results, both strategic and tactical and can build strong partnerships across different organizations.
Works cross functionally as a thought leader ensuring end to end process integrity.
Planning process expert defining, influencing and negotiating process and driving process efficiency and improvements.
Benchmarks with industry, other forums and bring insights to AbbVie, ability to challenge status quo with meaningful alternatives and propose solutions and alternativesImplements Manufacturing business solutions. Examples include – ECC SAP enhancements, INFOR AS, global documentation.
Develops strong business relationships and demonstrates business process knowledge expertise in Manufacturing, including API, Packaging and Biologics.
Aligns with functional counterparts and other BTS resources to ensure demand management and prioritization, architecture/template alignment, vendor management, security management, master data management, and knowledge management.Prepares and presents project proposals to steering committee, management and business partners.
Manages relationships between functional and other BTS organizations to assure effective communication between the groups is occurring throughout the project lifecycle.
Partners with the business to gather support for new processes/enhancements and alignment to global standards.
Manages system development cost estimates, budgets, long range plans and schedules.
Manages license agreements with software vendor.
Partners with BTS, business leaders, software vendors for the management of overall technical design, development, architecture and deployment
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience, preferably in software engineering, business, information systems, or a discipline closely related to Manufacturing.
8-10 years of overall experience, including 5 years manufacturing experience
Preferred experience with project/program management, SAP ECC PP/PI or equivalent ERP system, planning systems, and system implementation.
Strong Leadership presence
Able to work as an individual contributor
Experience with analytics and reporting
Excellent written and communication skills to support a functionally and geographically diverse organization
