The primary goal of the Product Sales Master Data Analyst is to ensure correct worldwide reporting for Entity Product Sales and Cost and that transactions are recorded in accordance with guidelines and policies. The position is responsible for analysis and maintenance of product master data used in actual reporting of intercompany and 3 rd party transactions, including tracking of results vs identified metrics. The position has routine contact with all affiliates/FFS support staff to resolve reporting and system issues and coordination with other AbbVie organizations regarding data integrity.

Key Responsibilities Include:

I. Standard Product Master data

a. Analyze and update CEU/EQU calculation components.Ensure reporting of CEU/EQU units is correct and include on all transactions, including the review of the COPA extension table

b. Maintain and update key tables:

i. Account tables for manual journal entries and margin relief entries

ii. Sales type/Sales id for sales reporting

c. Maintain D56 code for new SAP materials, ensuring all SKUs have appropriate D56 code and maintain a one for one relationship to SAP material number

d. Maintain and update tables created in Finance MDM for feed to legacy systems via CDW (ADW/HQMR/HQPS)

II. Ensure SAP COPA mapping is updated and correct to support sales reporting

a. Maintain COPA value field mapping for various gross to net grouping

b. Maintain and update the COPA to GL value field mapping table

III. Document and communicate requirements and provide training for correct reporting and use of product master data and of roles and responsibilities across the organization

IV. Collaboration with FSS Material MD, LCM and other teams on coordination and changes to master data and master data processes

a. Propose changes for alignment of product master data across the organization

b. Provide input on any proposed changes and impact to Product reporting process

Basic:

  • Bachelors Degree required: Accounting/Finance or related field.

  • 2-3 years of experience, including independent problem solving, effective communication to all levels of stakeholders and complex data analysis

  • Previous experience with SAP; consolidation and reporting preferred

  • The information collected and distributed from SAP/CSM provides the detail framework for AbbVie’s global sales reporting.The information provides the basis by which product profitability is measured.Inaccuracy in this data has the potential to result in incorrect decisions related to product.
