The Global Commercial Development (GCD) organization leads the development of the strategic marketing direction of key assets in AbbVie’s pipeline. The role of the Global Pipeline Forecasting & Commercial Analytics is to serve as the primary source of forecasting & commercial analytics services within GCD. The objective of this support is to determine the value of / help drive strategic decisions related to all pipeline products and on market product lifecycle projects as well as provides commercial analytical support for all GCD strategic initiatives related to his / her therapeutic area of responsibility.

The Director Global Forecasting & Commercial Analytics – Oncology is responsible for coordinating the development / maintenance of forecast models specific to pipeline compounds and on market product lifecycle projects across the oncology therapeutic areas. In addition, he / she is responsible for coordinating and / or leading the forecasting / commercial analytics aspects of any strategic initiatives associated with the oncology therapeutic area.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Developand maintain forecast models to inform long-range planning, milestonedecisions, and strategic decisions

  • Leadthe design and implementation of model updates and/or new forecastapproaches

  • Developand maintain extensive knowledge of business conditions and marketingstrategy for the oncology therapy area

  • Integratewith the asset or brand team and provide a data driven point of view onthe strategy and value of the assets in the oncology therapeutic area

  • Coordinatewith Business Intelligence to identify data gaps and develop marketresearch to help inform those gaps

  • Commercialanalytics to inform key forecast assumptions, or to provide a data-drivenpoint of view on the impact of marketing strategies on the value of theasset

  • Leadand coordinate the forecasting and commercial analytics support for anycommercial strategic initiatives relevant to the oncology therapeutic area

  • Coordinateand quality control the generation and deliver of presentation contentspecific to forecasting / commercial analytics work product for Executivelevel governance committees.

  • Serveas a credible and strategic partner to all the stakeholders of this roleincluding marketing, forecasting, business development, and clinical

  • Providereal-time decision support via close coordination and collaboration acrossmultiple stakeholders within GCD and other AbbVie partners includingL&A, R&D, HEOR, Market Access, Finance, Regulatory, Medical,Global Marketing, and Area & Affiliate Commercial organizations

  • Independentlyidentify areas for further analysis and identify approaches to solve theissue

  • Championingthe GCD Mission and Vision and the broader AbbVie Leadership Attributes

Key Qualifications:

  • 8+years of relevant business experience with a focus on the pharma/bio-techindustry.

  • Experiencein with new product development and demand estimation in areas withsignificant uncertainty.

  • Self-motivatedand experience managing multiple projects across multiple teams whiledelivering results on-time

  • Demonstratedability to influence decision making in cross-functional andcross-cultural environments

  • Experienceintegrating primary market research and secondary data into a cohesive,data-supported point of view.

  • Proficiencyin Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel experience

  • MBAor advanced STEM degree is preferred
