Exciting opportunity to be part of a digital journey ‘Connected Plant’ at AbbVie transforming our business operations while leading change management for the digital workforce across Americas Manufacturing region. Provide Leadership to deliver technology strategies that support efficiency, safety and quality while eliminating waste and human error. This role will have impact and influence within the Americas region for Manufacturing spanning 6 plants within the network.

Provide leadership to deliver technology strategies that support business goals. This role will have impact and influence within a single domain. Objectives: Build a collaborative partnership with technology and functional domain stakeholders. Deliver comprehensive technology solutions that address prioritized business problems and innovation needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy & Influence: Works with domain senior leadership and makes contributions to develop strategy. Adapts and executes domain strategic plans

  • Process Improvement & Optimization: Drives opportunities to improve process and/or technology

  • Decisions & Policies: Makes key decisions that are guided by established strategies and priorities. Influences operating policies and procedures that affect the domain. Interprets enterprise-wide policies, processes and procedures that may affect teams and domain workflow.

  • People Management: Manages a team(s) of managers and senior managers who have significant latitude and autonomy in their assignments.

  • Impact: Make decisions that are long lasting and heavily influence the future course of the business and/or technology domain.

  • Resource Management: Responsible for making contributions to the development of the domain resource management strategy and organizational structure.

  • Liaison & Relationship Building: Builds collaborative relationships and effectively interacts frequently with business and/or technology senior leaders. Interactions focus on project and operational decisions. Interacts well with diverse groups within function and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external collaborators.

  • Culture: Consistently demonstrate AbbVie's Ways of Working and Leadership Attributes including an enterprise mindset and people leadership. Effectively manages performance, provides timely feedback, appropriately rewards and recognizes valuable achievement, develops talent, and creates a succession pipeline.   • People and Stakeholder management: Establishes relationships with BusinessStakeholders at the regional VP level, site director level and site seniorstaff and influence, negotiate and broker opportunities and priorities.

  • Establish and drive manufacturing technology strategy for plants toensure delivery ofmanufactured products and inter-plant services that meetsafety, quality, cost and on-time delivery goals in support of associatedbusiness objectives.

  • Assess talent at the sites and actively coach and holdaccountable site leaders to develop and move talent to support growing businessneeds and address talent deficiencies swiftly. Hold leaders accountable forplanning, organizing and controlling the manufacturing and support activitiesat the site to produce quality products on time and competitively in compliancewith regulatory requirements. Drive manufacturing standardization and processimprovements to achieve network optimization.

  • Works across BTS personnel in region, managingTalent pipeline, providing input into goals, performance and TMR. Drives BTSPersonnel relation consistency across region and consistency ain Roles andresponsibilities while exploring opportunities for further value drivers at thesites

  • Drivesfunctional consistency and expertise (Packaging, DP/DS/Device manufacturing,Bio, API)

  • Establishdeep business knowledge and tie digital capabilities to meaningfulopportunities that accelerate value drivers stated.

  • Participateand meaningfully contribute in business discussions. Participate at regionalleadership forums.

  • Ability to manage global network programs across technicaland multiple sites within Region and ensures successful launches of programs.

  • Performingwithin a large, matrixed, global manufacturing organization required. Volumeand demand of work is increasingly complex and requires a senior levelprofessional to influence regional stakeholders in driving sustainable,compliant, secure, global technology solutions.

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 12+ years of experience.

  • Masters degree with work experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred.

  • Effectively connects employee and BTS functional goals to business and/or overall Abbvie goals. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to drive outstanding employee performance and engagement through developing, coaching, motivating, energizing and inspiring team members.

  • Experience managing teams of at least 10 people with a resource mix of managers, employees, matrixed teams, virtual teams, contractors and managed service providers.

  • Ability to communicate problems in terms that are understandable to BTS Leadership and end users at all levels.

  • Subject matter expert in technology and/or business domain.

  • Experience managing a budget of at least $10 million.

  • Experience in technology operation, strategy, planning and implementation and/or relevant business domain preferred.

  • Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in manufacturing/Supply Chain function(s) and 4 years’ experience in plant manufacturing operation of a facility

  • Ability to travel.
