The AbbVie Experiential Internship Program

As an AbbVie Experiential Intern, you'll participate in a paid, ten to twelve-week summer program that is focused on providing students with robust projects throughout the summer. As an intern, you will be located at our corporate headquarters in north suburban Chicago, with housing and shuttle services for eligible students.

Department Overview – Finance Shared Services (FSS) Change Management Team

Responsible for the strategic direction, development and execution of change management strategies in support of AbbVie’s SAP global operating model portfolio of change (PTP, RTR, OTC, OPS). We develop creative and cross-functional communications and role-based training for 22,000+ employees across commercial affiliates, manufacturing, R&D, procurement, and AbbVie's customer service, distribution, global trade and compliance centers, and third-party outsource resources. Ensures everyone has the skills, knowledge and information needed to transact business in SAP and supporting systems to perform their jobs according to the operating model.

Assignment Details

Seeking a student who has an Organizational Change Management, Communications, or Education major. Depending on the selected intern’s background and skills, assignments may include experience building global communications plan and execution. Developing Communication Strategy, drafting, approving, and sending global communications. We would also look for this intern to create a process for storing communications in the last 30+ days to build improved user experiences. For an intern with an Education background, projects may include helping to create/fine tune the process for maintaining links within current documentation, creating a more robust change control process.

  • Mustbe enrolled in school the semester following your internship

  • UndergraduateStudent majoring inOrganizational Change Management,Communications, or Education

  • MinimumCumulative GPA: 3.0/4.0

  • Mustbe authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiringsponsorship (students on an F1 visa with CPT can be accommodated).
