To assist in the development of annual marketing plans, co-ordinate their successful implementation and grow the long term sales, profit and market share position for assigned products within the context of the overall Corporate Business Plan.


Lead and support the development, translation and execution of a multichannel marketing strategy to ensure strategic and business objectives are met.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Engage with in-field team, and customers in order to generate and synthesize insights

  • Support the development of the Brand Plan and measure the delivery of the tactics.

  • Lead the tactical design and implementation of Marketing initiatives to include:o Innovative tactics for the local marketo Multi-channel opportunities to strengthen campaignso Multi-stakeholder initiativeso Materials for conferenceso Sales training pieces and initiativeso Internal campaigns and meetingso Ad boards and market researcho Collaboration with cross-functional stakeholderso Local modifications, review and approval of materials

  • Manage budget to ensure promotional activities are within agreed spending limits

  • Select and manage external agencies required to support marketing initiative

  • Work with JAPAC and Global teams to deliver key initiatives locally as well as report on Australian insights and performance.

  • Actively contribute to the development of the Brand strategy through the Brand Planning process in line with strategy defined by Global Brand Team

Education/Knowledge Required:

  • Tertiary qualification in business or science related field

  • Strategic brand planning processes

  • Marketing fundamentals & theory

  • Understanding the role of sales teams in the marketing process

  • Product life cycle management

  • Fully Conversant in Medicines Australia Code of Conduct

  • Digital marketing (desirable)

  • How the PBS system works (desirable)

Experience and Skills Required:

  • Minimum 2 years' healthcare/marketing experience

  • Business analytics- Turning market data into key insights

  • Managing complex campaigns

  • Multichannel exposure- print, digital, sales force

  • Managing agency relationships

  • Budget management

  • Effective collaboration with sales teams, deploying brand tactics and translating strategy into action

  • Effective collaboration with cross functional stakeholders

  • Demonstrated excellence in execution

  • Professional, accountable and collaborative team player
