Design, lead and execute Government Affairs (GA) strategies in full alignment with AbbVie brand and corporate strategy with a focus on positively shaping the environment to support patient access to oncology medicines, building AbbVie’s external with relevant oncology stakeholders and delivering our strategic Imperatives.

Highlighted key responsibilities include:

  • Lead AbbVie’s GAactivities in the cancer policy space, building aligned strategies andplatforms that make a valuable contribution to healthcare delivery, createconsensus with stakeholders and demonstrate AbbVie’s commitment.

  • Build andexecute AbbVie’s GA plans for oncology brands ensuring relevant insights areprovided to the company and ensure opportunities to shape the externalenvironment are secured.

  • Demonstrablyexpand and build durable external policy, political and wider stakeholderrelationships for AbbVie in the oncology community in co-ordination with, thewider GA team and organisation.

  • Takeresponsibility for key assigned above brand oncology policy priorities workingclosely with corporate GA to deliver the company’s Strategic Imperatives.

  • Workingalongside the GA team and wider business, ensure positive and well-managedstakeholder interactions to support shared objectives.

Qualifications, Knowledgeand Experience

  • Direct experience and knowledge ofworking in a parliamentary, legislative, political or healthcare departmentalenvironment.

  • Knowledge of working on oncology healthcarerelated topics, demonstration of impacting cancer policy initiatives andexperience of engaging with this stakeholder community as a trusted partner aredesirable.

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written andpresentation) to develop and convey strategies, policies, and action planssuccinctly.
