Reporting to the UK Head of Medical Affairs Oncology
Based in the Maidenhead office this role will have direct management responsibilities.

This brand new and exciting opportunity for an experienced medical affairs professional who is looking to work in a highly collaborative environment in the Oncology division. Leading a team this role is pivotal in ensuring medical affairs is fully integrated to support the strategy and execution of the affiliate business while being functionally independent.
Represent the affiliate’s medical/scientific voice of expertisefor assigned products and relevant therapeutic areas.
Provide medical / scientific expert advice / guidance to keycustomers for assigned products and relevant therapeutic areas, includingscientific exchange and professional relationship development with key thoughtleaders.
Provide medical affairs support to cross-functional affiliateteams.
Workclosely with sales, marketing and commercial leadership teams to providestrategic medical input into core brand strategies, and to supportmedical/marketing/market access activities
Provide leadership, strategicdirection and mentorship to direct reports, as appropriate, and fulfill linemanagement responsibilities accordingly.
Medical Degree or Bachelor’s degree in a scientific disciplineor relevant practical experience.
Experience working in a pharmaceutical industry and generalknowledge on drug development and clinical research an advantage.
Previous experience within Oncology is a must.
Leadership experience with a coaching mindset is preferred.
Experience being an active contributor to cross-functionalteams and/or working in matrix organisation will be an advantage.
Significant Work Activities and Conditions: Continuous sitting for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8 hour day), Driving a personal auto or company car or truck, or a powered piece of material handling equipment
