Reporting to the UK Head of Medical Affairs Oncology

Based in the Maidenhead office this role will have direct management responsibilities.

The role:

This brand new and exciting opportunity for an experienced medical affairs professional who is looking to work in a highly collaborative environment in the Oncology division. Leading a team this role is pivotal in ensuring medical affairs is fully integrated to support the strategy and execution of the affiliate business while being functionally independent.

Primary function:

  • Represent the affiliate’s medical/scientific voice of expertisefor assigned products and relevant therapeutic areas.

  • Provide medical / scientific expert advice / guidance to keycustomers for assigned products and relevant therapeutic areas, includingscientific exchange and professional relationship development with key thoughtleaders.

  • Provide medical affairs support to cross-functional affiliateteams.

  • Workclosely with sales, marketing and commercial leadership teams to providestrategic medical input into core brand strategies, and to supportmedical/marketing/market access activities

  • Provide leadership, strategicdirection and mentorship to direct reports, as appropriate, and fulfill linemanagement responsibilities accordingly.

Qualifications/Knowledgeand experience:

  • Medical Degree or Bachelor’s degree in a scientific disciplineor relevant practical experience.

  • Experience working in a pharmaceutical industry and generalknowledge on drug development and clinical research an advantage.

  • Previous experience within Oncology is a must.

  • Leadership experience with a coaching mindset is preferred.

  • Experience being an active contributor to cross-functionalteams and/or working in matrix organisation will be an advantage.
