Medical Advisor or Senior Medical Advisor: Haematology

We have a newly created opportunity in our growing Oncology team for an experienced medical affair professional, or someone who is working in Oncology as an MSL looking for a step into a Medical Advisor role.

This role will be focused on the Haematology assets but any Oncology experience will be considered.

Based in our offices in Maidenhead and reporting to the Head of Medical Affairs, Oncology. This newly created role will support the development and implementation of the medical affairs strategy in this key therapy area.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing expert medical input and support to appropriate internal and external contacts

  • Work with the Medical Lead to propose and execute the medical strategy within the Brand plan

  • Establish and develop strong relationships with key external healthcare professionals

  • Identify areas of interest among healthcare professionals where Advisory Boards or Symposia may be appropriate for you to run

  • Co-manage national Clinical Education programs and ensure the validity of the scientific content

  • Ensure all materials are fully compliant with the ABPI Code

  • Provide support and training to the sales force and other departments as necessary

  • Develop awareness and understanding of competitor issues / intelligence

Qualifications:

In order to be successful in this role, you should have/be:

  • Educated as a medic, pharmacist, PhD or have equivalent experience.

  • Previous experience of working in a medical affairs role (Medical Advisor or MSL’s considered)

  • Oncology/Haematology experience.

  • Working knowledge of clinical and statistical research methods and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).

  • Experience of working in a matrix organisation.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills including presentation, communication and influencing skills.
