The Business System Consultant proactively seeks out strategic business opportunities with business leaders in Development Sciences with a focus on the Biologics analytical and formulation sciences laboratory areas. As a Business System Consultant you provide advice, assistance and leadership in any area associated with the planning, procurement, provision, delivery, management, maintenance and effective business use of information systems in these R&D science and engineering laboratories. You analyze business processes; elicit, analyze and document business requirements; identify alternative solutions, assesse feasibility and make recommendations typically seeking to exploit and leverage new or existing IT technology solutions. Translation of business requirements into functional requirements; performing data and processing modeling; managing changes and leads, coordinate/perform testing, verification, and validation of requirements is made by you. As a Business System Consultant you work with the area Business Relationship Manager, the Business Solution Manager and Portfolio Manager to drive solutions across the business environment.
You work directly with business unit clients to understand specific business processes, business drivers and business strategy; identifying needs and champion opportunities for business process improvement that can be enabled via technology.
Your knowledge of terminology, processes, practices, and procedures in the healthcare industry and in drug product development is profound - ideally direct experience working several years in a Drug Discover/Development Sciences Research & Development environment.
Being aware of the responsibility for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures you identify current and emerging business needs and evaluate alternative IT and business process solutions.
You are a strategic thinker that plans and estimates IT capital projects using AbbVie project planning practices and under regulations of the Corporate Finance Manual.
Driven by innovation and keen on improvement you recommend approaches to achieve process improvement objectives.
You identify information required to support the business strategy and participate or lead the development of appropriate information management strategies, developing them as an integrated part of the business strategy.
You are keen on working within a global organization and for global business clients, able to communicate globally across cultures and time zones.
Your AbbVie talent:
You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience and have 5-7 years of related work experience.
You possess deep knowledge of software development lifecycle experience including requirements definition and analysis, software design, development/coding and documentation.
As an excellent communicator you have very good presentation skills and manage the relationship towards business and other participants as well as the ability to relate to a wide range of technical staff, business teams, managers, and 3rd party service providers.
You are an innovative person that identifies new approaches to resolve issues and anticipates business needs and have the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and/or projects with limited supervision.
Your knowledge of terminology, processes, practices, and procedures in the healthcare industry and in drug product development is profound.
