AbbVie Commercial Analytics and Operations (CA&O) team is working to transform the analytics for the Medical Infield organization to allow for agile and strategic decisions to ensure customer education needs are met to support patient care. This is a great opportunity to be a part of this team and drive cross-functional analytics initiatives designed to improve business efficiency & decision making. The Senior Analytics Analyst will use a broad understanding of the business strategic needs to drive analytics efforts across disciplines and subject areas for the team, for ongoing & future projects. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for demonstrating thought leadership in defining reporting/analytics strategy for various therapeutic areas, especially during product launch. The ideal candidate will be a proponent for innovation, best practices, sound design with data & information optimization in mind, strong development habits, and efficient team/project structures.

Job Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and sustain relationships with business stakeholders while gaining a broader understanding of strategic objectives from a business and analytics perspective

  • Develop business and operations data requirements necessary to support strategic objectives

  • Lead and provide guidance to a team of developers/analysts focused on reporting and analytics services cross-functionally

  • Drive visibility to critical business Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to provide insights supporting business objectives and tactics, as well as, infield team performance

  • Provide innovative analytics ideas along with execution strategy to help drive business insights across therapeutic areas and product life cycles

  • Works directly with business unit clients to understand specific business processes and business drivers and business strategy across multiple business units; identifies and communicates resulting needs and opportunities for business process improvement that can be enabled via technology

  • Provide ongoing reporting support to the business as requested

  • 2+ combined years in operations; experience will include one or more of the following: Data Analyst, Systems Analyst, Solution Architect, Project Manager, Data Architect, Analytics/Reporting Architect and/or Data Governance Lead

  • Proven track record in project delivery involving business and technical teams

  • Experience with onshore/offshore resources

  • Solid understanding on impacting, emerging and vendor trends in the BI/DW/Analytics space

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred

  • Preferred: Experience with either QlikView or QlikSense
