The primary function of this position is to lead process improvement projects and support the needs of continuous improvements program within CSM (Clinical Supply Management). CSM is a key area within AbbVie for its efforts in manufacturing and packaging drug supplies that enable clinical trials to be conducted around the world. Although responsibility is at the local level, the incumbent is responsible and accountable for establishing and maintaining globally harmonized business and GMP processes and systems in compliance with worldwide GMP regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.

  • Responsible for managing multiple process improvements projects within CSM and interacting with several departments and various levels of management.

  • Works to establish and gain consensus on project goals, objectives, timelines and deliverables.

  • Utilizes project management and process improvement tools to manage projects according to plan, including identifying and mitigating project risks.

  • Communicates project status to various levels of management, project teams, and sponsors.

  • Communicates within CSM cross functionally and globally with all levels to maintain relationships and cooperation while advancing the organization’s productivity improvement goals.

  • Leads process improvement projects, prioritizes project work, and supports the needs of the Continuous Improvement Program within CSM.

  • Develops, implements, and monitors processes and defines success outcomes and clear metrics per project.

  • Gathers feedback and works to identify new improvement projects.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific or business-related field is required.

  • Minimum of 5+ years of pharmaceutical experience which includes 2+ years of project management and/or process improvement related experience within a pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or industrial environment.

  • Must have experience in identification and implementation of new processes.
