The Call Planning Manager will be primarily responsible for supporting the Field Force Deployment Center of excellence team with tools management, business process improvement, and ad-hoc analyses. The Call Planning Manager will work closely with other commercial operation, IT and vendor teams to ensure success in call planning support and execution. The Call Planning Manager will work with Field Force Deployment (FFD), Field Tools team and vendor teams to rollout new tools and process improvement initiatives to internal and field teams. The Call Planning Manager does not have direct reports but demonstrates the ability to lead without authority and work collaboratively with the integrated commercial team.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Develop a deep understanding of department level processes and policies. Maintain a broad understanding of departmental business rules, data sets, and business processes and interdependencies across Field Ops department.

  • Develop in-depth knowledge of operations team to resolve business problems more efficiently and effectively.

  • Continually evaluate the effectiveness of existing processes and design and deploy new solutions that are innovative, add value and meet current and future business requirements.

  • Independently identify opportunities and implement solutions to lower operating expenses and/or increased productivity.

  • Leverage an in-depth knowledge of analysis and/or operations methodologies to identify and implement appropriate approaches to address and solve business problems.

  • Participate and lead cross-functional teams. Independently manages both internal and vendor assisted projects. Ensures appropriate methodologies are employed and projects are managed within budget and timeline.

  • Anticipate factors and constraints that may affect timeline, set project priorities and manage resource needs. Develop mitigation plans as needed.

  • Drive multiple complex projects and handle multiple priorities, balancing between short-term and long-term business needs

  • Collaborate with peers, Field Deployment Managers, Field Operations Directors, Integration teams, and IT on a regular basis and shares best practices, and lessons learned with these constituents

  • Communicate up, down, and laterally in an effective manner

Qualifications:

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 4-5 years’ experience.

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a commercial role; and/or consulting experience.

  • Demonstrated critical thinking, analytical skills, and problem solving skills.

  • Demonstrated database and project management skills.

  • Ability to communicate complex issues in a simple, yet compelling fashion to a wide range of stakeholders in a matrix environment.

  • A proven track record of success in transforming data into powerful information.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities independently.

  • Excellent command of the following software programs: MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access.

  • Must exhibit proficiency commensurate with grade in the following competencies: adaptability, teamwork, initiative, innovation, integrity, analytical, leadership, strategic thinking, drive for results, and communication.

Preferred:

  • Experience with SAS/SPSS preferred

  • Pharma/Bio Tech/Life sciences experience preferred
