This person will play a leading role in building and executing the commercial Immunology strategy for product enhancements. Strong leadership and ability to work across a complicated matrix is required, working with cross functional partners in Rheumatology, Dermatology, Gastroenterology, cross-franchise, Manufacturing, Clinical Development, Regulatory, Managed Care, HEOR, Medical, Finance and MABI.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead commercial strategy and execution of product enhancement initiatives to maximize the value of Immunology assets including:

  • Formulation, device, administration route, pill characteristics, packaging), dosing regimen, alternative brand strategies and geographic specific initiatives (eg second brand)

  • Connectivity and service (in close collaboration of patient experience

  • IP strategies

  • Represent US on Immunology ADT including developing recommendations and senior leadership presentations for ABL and LMG reviews.

  • Work with Immunology forecasting and MABI to determine financial scenarios of product enhancements/label updates

  • Liaise with Rheumatology, Dermatology, Gastroenterology, cross-franchise, Manufacturing, Clinical Development, Regulatory, Managed Care, HEOR, Medical and Finance on strategic and tactical execution.

  • Contribute to the AbbVie strategic planning process, including leading the creation of the annual product enhancement Strategic plan and Tactical plan documents. Participate and provide significant input to the Strategic and Tactical planning and brainstorming process. Contribute to the Sr. management presentation for Strategic and Tactical plan.

  • Contribute to the AbbVie financial processes (Plan, LRP, S&OP) in close collaboration with Finance, Brand and MHC. Serve as product enhancement subject matter expert in order to align on key assumptions and collaborate on financial modeling.

  • Work with MABI to conduct analytics and provide insights on key business questions, spanning primary and secondary market research. Analytic support to include payer, physician and patient channels. Work with MABI to derive insights from the data that will help to inform strategy and tactical implications.

  • Lead external consultant engagements (strategic partners and key stakeholders) and product enhancement r advisory boards, understanding timelines to accomplish tasks and anticipate any potential barriers that would impact project timelines.

  • Lead development of promotional materials, working closely with the advertising agency’s account team (project management, strategy, copy/creative). Strong oversight on all creative briefs and provide agency constructive feedback on how their work aligns with expectations

Basic:

  • Strong leadership with diverse experience set that helps to build relationships across a wide range of functions

  • Strong strategic thinking and story-telling skills

  • Product enhancement/clinical development experience

  • Excellent PowerPoint skills in order to develop "executive – ready" communications on a frequent basis

  • Excellent written communication skills with proven past experiences in writing Strategic documents

  • In depth knowledge of AbbVie med reg processes with an understanding of AbbVie’s promotional guidelines
