Technical expert that will independently investigate, identify, develop and optimize new methods/ techniques to address critical project needs. Continuously seek to improve existing laboratory methods and processes. Read and adapt literature to accomplish assignments. Demonstrate mastery of broad range of experimental techniques and methods of data analysis.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Work independently and within group settings to efficiently process requests in a fast paced environment.

  • Learn, understand and master new experimental techniques, and act as a resource or mentor for others.

  • Innovate and implement new experimental protocols; lead others in both implementation and adoption of new routines and protocols.

  • Demonstrate a high level of proficiency and knowledge within Compound Management.

  • Maintain large inventory collection and develop new strategies for inventory storage as new needs arise.

  • Maintain attention to detail to minimize errors, and establish troubleshooting protocols when errors within the lab are identified.

  • Contribute to writing the conceptual framework of user requirements for software packages that support compound management.

  • Establish and provide written SOPs for regular lab activities.

  • Maintain, operate and program automated equipment used in compound dispersals and storage.

  • Query and analyze large datasets.

Basic:

  • BS or equivalent education with typically 7 or more years of experience or MS or equivalent education with typically 5 or more years of experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to independently design, execute and interpret critical experiments to answer scientific questions.

  • Demonstrated ability to learn, understand and master new experimental techniques.

  • Ability to multitask and work within timelines.

  • Demonstrated scientific writing skills and strong verbal communication skills.
