The Associate Business Systems Consultant will be a default point of contact for Commercial BTS (IT) in support of Medical and Commercial field users. Will work directly with business and technology teams to support the advancement of In Field Team capabilities tied to critical business processes, the Veeva Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and other integrated IT systems.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Supports IFT capabilities and underlying technology for Commercial and Medical field users.

  • Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.

  • Identifies current and emerging business needs and evaluates alternative IT solutions using standard information systems methodologies and best practices.

  • Proactively seeks out strategic business opportunities with business unit executives for the application of new or existing IT capabilities.

  • Assesses and understands IFT capability and technology gaps and works with vendors and internal technology teams to close those gaps.

  • Develops information systems strategies that meet the requirements of the business.

  • Identifies the business benefits of alternative strategies.

  • Ensures compliance between business strategies and technology directions.

  • Manages and provides expert advice on the IFT capabilities, design, justification, implementation and business use of the US Veeva CRM system.

  • Identifies alternative solutions, assesses feasibility and makes recommendations typically seeking to exploit and leverage new or existing IT technology components.

  • Translates business requirements into functional requirements.

  • Performs data and process modeling, manages change, and coordinates verification, and validation of requirements.

  • Identifies IT capabilities and information required to support the business processes and collaborates in the development of appropriate information management strategies to support those processes.

  • Identify process disconnects and translate them into improvement opportunities with cost savings or avoidance, productivity improvements, or revenue generating business benefits.

  • Develops business relationships and integrates activities with other BTS departments to ensure successful implementation and support of project efforts.

  • Allies with other BTS functional areas to remain current on project status, and inform customer management of progress.

  • Identifies the impact of any relevant statutory, internal or external regulations on the organization's use of information.

Qualifications

Basic:

  • Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • 5-7 years of related work experience.

Key Desired Skills and Leadership Competencies:

  • Experience with Veeva CRM and other IFT capabilities (nice to have)

  • Experience in executing Systems Development Life Cycle processes in a highly regulated industry, Pharmaceuticals preferred.

  • Strong inter-personal and communication skills, ability to work with and across all levels of management and stakeholder groups (Technical, Marketing, Sales, Medical, Regulatory, Customer Excellence, Operations, etc.)

  • Deals comfortably with risk and ambiguity, changing course when needed.

  • Knows the business and the cross-functional contributions needed to deliver results.

  • Proven effectiveness with taking ownership of deliverables and influencing cross-matrix teams to ensure initiative pull-through and delivery.

  • Develops and proposes solutions and achieves consensus on approach for applying technology to the business problem.

  • Influences organization decisions and business area objectives.
