The AbbVie Experiential Internship Program

As an AbbVie Experiential Intern, you'll participate in a paid, ten to twelve-week summer program that is focused on providing students with robust projects throughout the summer. As an intern, you will be located at our corporate headquarters in north suburban Chicago, with housing and shuttle services for eligible students.

Department OverviewRQS Operations – Business Services – Collaboration Services

RQS Operations' mission is to create and drive process and system efficiencies for increased productivity and agility. The Business Services group within RQS Ops serves as a trusted partner, collaborating with RQS stakeholders to implement innovative solutions for the business so they can focus on the business of RQS. Collaboration Services help this mission by enabling our users to be efficient and effective through collaborative technologies.

Assignment Details

The RQS Operations Business Services Collaboration Services intern will provide support to the Collaboration Services lead on projects related to RQS collaborative technology solutions. This year’s focus will be on creating video and interactive materials and gaining an understanding of Office 365 to help develop, create and produce deliverables that educate users on RQS Operations functions and Office 365/SharePoint Online resources


  • Completed at least one year of college education before beginning internship

  • Must be enrolled in school the semester following your internship

  • Undergraduate Level Student

  • Minimum Cumulative GPA: 3.0/4.0

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship (students on an F1 visa with CPT can be accommodated).


  • High familiarity with video editing software

  • Optional knowledge of SharePoint (2010/13 or Online) Microsoft Office (365 preferred, other versions acceptable)

  • Organized with an attention to detail

  • Strong communication, skills both oral and written
