The Warehouse Supervisor leads the daily execution of Inbound, Outbound shipments and Materials Issuance activities for both the API and Biologics Manufacturing, operating in 2 x 8 hours shifts. This includes the Ambient, Chill, Cold storage locations, Hazard and Flammable Store, as well as an external 3 rd Party warehouse.
He / she play a critical role in Regulatory Audits, representing the physical and information flow of materials / shipments from Receiving to Shipment. He / she is fully accountable for Inventory Management and inventory accuracy, ensures regular cycle count and inventory verification activities are conducted and compliance with the Quality System and SOX.
The Warehouse Supervisor also drives the Warehouse and Logistics Strategy to cater for volume expansion and productivity improvements. At a tactical level, this includes Warehouse Layout (or re-design), equipment utilization – rent or buy decisions, Placement Strategy, physical flow analysis as well as materials issuance or return strategy to optimize resource and productivity. This is a fundamental for the company’s vision of Digitalization and Industry 4.0.
One of the immediate needs for the Warehouse Supervisor is to re-design processes and workflows to change from the current manual way of doing things to system driven processes, utilizing SAP functionalities. He / she is a Power User in SAP WM module. Some examples are usage of RF gun in the WMRF, ABC Cycle Counting, automatic Transfer Order creation. To drive these projects, the Warehouse Supervisor deals with a number of stakeholders, like Finance, IT, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and the Global team. Besides being a technical expert in logistics, he is expected to be a good communicator and team player.
People Manager – leading a team of Warehouse Assistants and Contractors in the execution of Receiving, Shipping, Materials Issuance to Production, Sampling, Cycle Count and Returns activities.
Implement 2 x 8 hours shift pattern in the Warehouse.Review and streamline the activities of the warehouse team to support the huge vol growth for 2019.This may require certain tasks to be changed, such as Receiving, Shipping and QA sampling timing etc to better utilize the resources from 2 shifts.This require understanding the business and working with the various stakeholders like Manufacturing, Supply Chain, QA to ensure operations efficiency.
Audit readiness at all times, ensuring all processes and documentation are compliant with Regulatory, our Quality System and SOX.
Accountable for Inventory Accuracy and inventory management – performs cycle count, investigates book to physical discrepancy analysis, root caused analysis and process improvements.Inventory Accuracy targets 99.5%.
Conducts investigations for audit findings and identifies root caused and improvement actions.
Drive improvements in the Warehouse and Logistics work flow and processes for Direct Materials and Finished Goods.
Implement new processes to better utilize SAP – examples Usage of RF guns to increase the productivity of Warehouse, ABC cycle counting, automatic TR / TO creation for picking.
Change management – managing people, process and system change.Key stakeholders include Finance, Supply Chain Planners, Purchasing, Manufacturing, IT, Global team etc.
Drives Improvement in Warehouse Utilization by reviewing Placement Strategy, Goods Movement, Purchasing patterns, Consumption patterns and physical / information flow.Propose and drive changes, engaging the cross functional stakeholders.
Implement Inventory Verification process with Manufacturing for Process Staging Areas.
Drives Warehouse Productivity Improvements – implement metrics to measure operations and equipment efficiencies.
Drives Safety and 6S culture in the workplace, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
Any other duties as assigned by the Manager.
Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain or an equivalent
Min 8 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain and GMP warehouse environment.
Track record of setting up warehouse and logistics processes and workflows, ideally with SAP.
Power user in SAP WM module preferred.
Working knowledge in GMP (Good documentation practices, sampling) is a must.
Able to adapt to changing work schedules and hours including overtime when required
Ability to work in a fast pace and challenging environment.
Good interpersonal, organizational, time management and communication skills
Possess a valid forklift license will be an advantage. Able to operate stacker and VNA.
