Abbvie is looking foran experienced, entrepreneurial and enthusiastic Product Specialist Hematology who likes to pioneer in the hematology field. In this role you will directly report to the business unit manager. You will be part of a dedicated team for our product Venetoclax(Venclyxto). Venetoclax is a BCL-2 inhibitor approved for the treatment of relapsed and refractory chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and is under investigation in other treatment lines of CLL and in other hematological malignancies such as AML, MM.

Key responsibilities

  • Create strong relationships with(in) the Dutch hematology-oncology network.

  • Create pre-call plan using SMART objectives and execute post-call evaluation in order to continuously improve sales performance. Effectively handle objections and gain calls to action in order to close on every sales call.

  • Develop and execute a call plan that achieves set call metrics and optimizes coverage and frequency to key customers in order to maximize access and sales opportunities.

  • Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, marketing objectives, etc. in order to meet or exceed on those objectives.

  • Proactively and continuously aspire to serve customer needs, customer expectations and challenges in order to build trusted customer relationships and to achieve win-win agreements between AbbVie and customers.

  • Continuously build understanding on customer needs and expectations, territory market landscape, competitors, market segments/dynamics, accounts, disease, product, clinical and sales expertise and share this market intelligence information with in-field team and brand team to achieve alignment, to anticipate environmental changes and challenges and to optimize brand strategy and its execution.

  • Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with assigned health providers; identify, develop and maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates in order to maximize brand performance.

Basic:

  • Minimum: Bachelor’s degree, preferably science/medical/business.

  • A minimum of 4 years sales experience in pharma, of which minimum 1 year in oncology, and preferably in hematology.

  • Practical knowledge and understanding of customer/disease area requirements.

  • Demonstrates in-depth product, therapeutic, competitive and scientific knowledge. Maintains knowledge of market challenges and opportunities.

  • Identifies and understands policies, protocols and the political environment of institutional accounts that may affect the work of e.g. the physician.

  • Preferably knowledge or existing network in hospitals

  • Key account management skills
