Our Cork Site in Carricktwohill is a Bulk Oral Solid Dose manufacturing site which is undergone a significant site expansion. We are looking for a Mechanical Engineering intern for a role in Operations.

Sample projects include;

  • Assist the Engineering Dept. in specifictasks/ projects as assigned during the internship.

  • Gainan overall understanding of how an Engineering Department operates.

  • Driveimprovement in energy and sustainability through the ISO50001 ManagementSystem)

  • Ensureassigned projects are delivered on-time and within budget according tobusiness requirements.

  • Ensuresafety standards are met and safe working practices adhered to.

  • Ensurecompliance with all Quality, Regulatory, GMP requirements and adherence toall AbbVie policies and relevant legislation

  • EnsureQA activities are executed in line with in-house procedures and incompliance with requirements for cGMP

  • Complywith Site Training Procedures and complete training in a timely manner

  • Work on Six Sigma, Leans Tools andContinuous Improvement Projects

  • Work across multiple departmentswithin operations, gaining an invaluable knowledge of how the business operatesand the effects improvements can have across the whole organisation.

  • To complete a summary report on internship and present to the Abbviesenior management teams.

  • ·Studyingfor a Bachelors or Master’s Degree student in Mechanical, Chemical orBioMedical Engineering. Min of 3.0 GPS or 2.1

  • ·Completedat least one year of college education before beginning internship

  • ·Mustbe enrolled in school the semester following your internship

  • ·Knowledgeof computers or software would be advantageous.

  • ·The person should be process orientate andhave high attention to detail.

  • ·EUworking permit
