General Position Summary/Purpose:

The Senior Manager, Marketing Operations and Strategic Programs will support the development and execution of strategic programs for IMBRUVICA®. This position involves strategic oversight, planning and coordination, and tactical execution of speaker bureau and thought leader engagement,. He/She will need to demonstrate successful support and execution of specific programs and tactics. Key Accountabilities/Core Job Responsibilities:

  • Development of strategy of the speaker bureau in collaboration with our external business partners

  • Management of the key vendors to assist in tactical execution of program

  • Support Speaker Bureau function with program tracking, analytical reporting, contracts management, field program targeting analyses, and content revisions

  • Manage development and monthly issuance of high level Speaker Bureau Management Report

  • Assist with live speaker training meetings, coordinating schedule and logistics with vendors, and materials approval with internal reviewers

  • Track speaker metrics, including utilization, program evaluations, training needs and completions, and determination of speaker contract renewals

  • Provide support to various thought leader engagement initiatives, involving proposal generation, vendor selection, vendor management, and thought leader interactions and communications

  • Support annual Strategic and Brand Plan process, coordinating across multiple internal functions and managing both input and output of plans and budgets

  • Collaboration with internal departments including marketing, sales operations, legal, regulatory, medical affairs, payer/access, corporate compliance, and IT

  • Lead projects through the internal legal, regulatory, and medical review process

  • Manage program budgets and metrics to ensure program success

  • Engage with sales force and sales management as needed to ensure seamless speaker program management

  • Executive updates: preparing and presenting work and findings on a regular basis

Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent with an advanced marketing education; MBA preferred

  • 6+ years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech marketing for specialty products; experience in Oncology or Hematology/Oncology preferred; sales experience a plus

  • Demonstrated track record of increasing responsibility within sales and marketing;

  • Demonstrated analytical skills and the ability to think strategically and solve problems

  • Proven ability to collaborate and work cross-functionally to drive business results in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience working closely with field sales organizations to implement marketing programs with measurable business impact

  • Outstanding project management and budget management skills

  • Experience managing multiple vendors and agency partners

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities

  • Strong understanding of legal and regulatory environment in pharmaceutical promotions, pharma industry guidelines, and other compliance-related issues

  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to translate strategic vision into tactical action, identify the highest impact ideas and plans and focus efforts by resource allocation

  • Ability to assess risks and benefits to make timely, sound decisions with various levels of information, and accept responsibly for meeting and/ or exceeding objectives

  • Ability to travel approximately 20% of the time
