General Position Summary / Purpose:

The IT Business Analyst will be responsible for business requirements analysis, documentation and testing of all Enterprise Applications across IT that are either built in-house or configured on the cloud.

Collaborate with departmentsSales, Commercial, Medical Operations,Contracting, and Finance. The Analyst will collaborate with key project stakeholders to plan, test, and implement all system changes to ensure the solution conform to the desired quality standard. The role involves working on cross-functional projects as well as working on prioritized change requests.

Key Accountabilities / Core Job Responsibilities:

  • Elicit business requirements, translate business requirements to functional requirements, create functional requirements specifications, and work with technical resources to design/configure the solution

  • Interface with business and functional teams providing analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Develop Test Plan, Test Cases and User Acceptance Test Plan based on the functional specification

  • Execute Test Cases of small to large sized projects

  • Identify system defects and track defects in a Bug Tracking System

  • Partner with distributed teams and outside vendors to elicit business and functional requirements

  • Accountable for defect tracking, escalate issues as needed, and verification of defect resolution

  • Conduct periodic system reviews to find potential defects, recommend corrective actions and process improvements

  • Participate in project planning, risk assessment and risk mitigation

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline

  • Biotechnology and/or Pharmaceutical industry experience with exposure to Compliance / Legal Operations

  • 3+ years of Business/System Analysis and/or Software Testing experience of industry standard applications.

  • Work with departments Sales, Commercial, Medical Operations,Contracting, and Finance.

  • Lead requirements gathering efforts (Business Process/Functional and Technical Specifications) for the CRM application. Previous experience with Salesforce and Veeva platforms are highly desired. Experience with Apttus, Dynamics AX, Workdayand vendor support are preferred.

  • Working knowledge of Contract Lifecycle Management and Procurement is preferred

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
