This position is responsible for supporting Commercial Excellence’s Global Market Analytics and Business Intelligence as a Research Process and Efficiency Improvement manager for all global market research related initiatives. This individual will not only establish processes and ensure that AbbVie personnel are instructed on compliant procedures related to market research conducted around the world, he/she will be looked upon to improve processes in effort to reduce time spent initiating and documenting market research and/or associated costs.

This role will be the first line of contact for Global Market Analytics and Business Intelligence staff related to market research project procedures. The Research Process and Efficiency Improvement Manager will work with the Business Owner (BO) and appropriate Global, Area and Affiliate functions to establish procedures, where necessary, to ensure that all Global, Area and Affiliate requirements are met when conducting global market research projects. This position will work closely with Global OEC, Global Pharmacovigilance, Finance, Purchasing, and other functional managers to review and confirm that reporting needs are being fulfilled. In addition, working with the business owners, this individual will continue to establish AbbVie’s network of research vendor partners to ensure their necessary evaluations and training requirements. The Research Process and Efficiency Improvement Manager will also be the first point of contact for spot auditing, reconciliations and reporting requirements by suppliers.


Core Job Responsibilities Primary focus will be supporting all Global MABI staff related to global market research projects and leading improvements in procedures leading to greater efficiencies and client satisfaction. The Research Process and Improvement Manager will work closely with GMABI staff to develop and oversee processes related to managing and answering questions, as well as provide guidance to other cross functional teams with business stakes in Global Market Research projects. This position will also manage record collection and central storage requirements via Insight Farm, AbbVie’s centralized documentation repository for market research related initiatives.


Key Responsibilities * Develop, manage, and improve processes for conducting global market research projects in a compliant manner * Optimize and maintain the necessary procedures and policies that govern global market research projects * Provide critical feedback to stakeholders on processes and proactively identify recommendations to enhance business effectiveness and compliance * Engage with Area and Affiliate staff to understand and communicate local requirements for market research; as appropriate, incorporate into Global processes to ensure that all requirements are met * Maintain and communicate affiliate requirements (including Fair Market Value rates) for conducting Market Research locally to Global MABI team and stakeholders * Enhance Global MABI Knowledge Management and reporting * Maintain and improve the tracking and cataloging of project documentation via Insight Farm, the electronic platform currently used by AbbVie MR stakeholders, and/or other systems to be utilized in the future * Collaborate with Pharmacovigilance team to ensure that Global MABI follow correct process for MR Project OPI submission, Adverse Event training, reporting and monitoring * Provide input for updates to the US/Global procedure documents such as: MRAF, SOW, MSA, and cross-functional stakeholder SOPs that impact the process for conducting market research (Purchasing, IT, PV) to ensure that Market research programs are executed in a compliant and efficient manner. * Co-Chair bi-weekly OEC/Legal/PV/Purchasing review meetings related to US and Global market research projects capturing learnings for incorporation into future initiatives * Provide coordination for all GMABI Audits (PV, OEC, FCT, etc.) * Update content and conduct Global MR process and procedure training for GMABI team * Manage and Maintain Preferred MR Supplier network and MR Supplier evaluation qualification process The position reports to the Senior Director, Global Marketing Analytics and Business Intelligence who will help to further guide and develop this position to best meet the Department’s needs

Qualifications:
Basic: * Bachelor’s degree * 3 years of vendor or client side market research experience * Problem solver * Self-motivated * Good Communication Skills * Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment comprised of both rigid guidelines and considerable ambiguity * Enjoys working in a highly matrixed position and with a broad range of functions and individuals * Aspires for continuous improvement * Prior experience using Microsoft Office applications including: MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required, Visio and Snagit a plus

Preferred: * Pharmaceutical and/or Global market research experience * Knowledge of compliance processes and procedures in conducting Market Research, ideally in both the US and ex-US * Demonstrated experience in Process Improvement * Familiar with pharmacovigilance, Sunshine Payment Provisions, pharmaceutical industry transparency requirements, and states with enacted discloser reporting laws * Utilization of centralizedrecord collection and storage repositories
